The Cressi Gara Modular LD green fins are an extension of the Gara Modular line. The LD (Long Distance) version, made from thermoplastic material, is softer and more efficient. Easy forward propulsion is attained with every kick, which does not fatigue your feet or muscles, resulting in ability to cover long distances. The interchangeable blade is lightweight, reactive and well adapted for the most demanding freediving use. The Cressi Gara Modular LD green fins are the softest of the 3 Gara Modular models. The stiffness difference between each blade model however is slight. Order of stiffness from hardest to softest:

    1. Black original
    2. Grey Nery
    3. Green LD

The interchangeable blade allows the diver to replace the interchangeable blade for specific diving situations which makes this fin perfect to grow with as the diver's skill level increases. Any of Cressi's long fiberglass or carbon fiber blades can be interchange in minutes without any modifications. The self-adjusting foot pocket is constructed with the most modern multi-compound joining process to deliver a foot pocket that can offer comfort and suppleness around the foot, yet have the stiffer compound under the foot and heel where power transfer takes place.

The angle of the blade provides the ultimate in efficiency during the kick cycle requiring less-energy to load-the blade. Fin can be comfortably-worn with or without neoprene socks. The Cressi Gara modular fin is very lightweight and reactive and also well-adapted for the most demanding of free diving use. The blade is made from a special reactive thermo-plastic, which is extremely light, and has a blade snap that progressively charges during the fining upward stride to react like a spring at the exact moment the stride is inverted.

This development in fin construction gives the diver increased thrust required to keep up with their prey. A soft Elastomer foot pocket anatomically wraps around the foot, surrounding it with a comfortable fit that guarantees perfect transmission of the leg-fin thrust. A solid Co-polymer hardens some critical zones of the foot pocket and extends along the sides of the foot pocket in two lateral tendons that go halfway down the blade, assisted by special raised bands on the bottom of the blade. These tendon’s function is to regulate and harmonize the bending of the blade, at the same time protecting it from shocks and abrasions.

Measuring foot for spearfishing freediving fins
Cressi Gara Modular foot pocket sizes
    38-39 (5-5.5)
    40-41 (7-8)
    42-43 (8-9)
    44-45 (10-11)
    46-47 (12-13)

These sizes reflect European and US numbers stated on the foot pockets. The European size is correct but the US size may not be accurate. It's important to use the stated sizes as a reference to the foot pocket only, not necessarily as to how it fits. For example the Cressi 42-43 size is stated as US 8-9 which is blatantly incorrect. If in doubt about which size to buy choose the "To Measure" size option, then at checkout provide your foot measurement in the message field and we'll send the correct size foot pockets.

    How to measure your foot
Put a ruler against the wall and stand on it with your heel against the wall, Your measurement "A" is where the furthest toe ends. In the same way measure the width of your foot at the widest part.
